Export your data or delete your account
Updated September 2026
Your data is yours. In Settings → Data & privacy you can download a copy of everything DNSPeek keeps about you, and delete your account yourself, without writing to support.
On this page
Export your data
Open Settings → Data & privacy and click Download my data under Your data. You get a JSON file named dnspeek-data-YYYY-MM-DD.json with:
- your profile and how you sign in (password, Google or both);
- the workspaces you belong to and your role in each, and the plan of the ones you own;
- the preview links and spaces you created, and the names of your API keys;
- the QA reports and visual compares you ran (status, score, pages and dates);
- your notification email preferences and your latest 1,000 actions in team activity logs;
- client comments and approvals left with your email address, if that address is verified.
Passwords, API key secrets, sign-in tokens, share links, webhook secrets, chat channel settings and payment details are never included. You can download the file 3 times per hour.
Delete your account
Open Settings → Data & privacy → Danger zone
Click Delete account…. The dialog lists what will happen before you confirm.
Transfer team workspaces you own
If you own a team workspace that has other members, deletion is blocked until you make one of its admins the owner (or remove the members). The dialog lists these workspaces with a Transfer ownership link to each.
Confirm
Type your account email. If your account has a password, enter it too. If you only sign in with Google, the deletion must happen within 10 minutes of a sign-in; otherwise the dialog asks you to sign in with Google again.
When you confirm:
- Your personal workspace and team workspaces where you are the only member are deleted, with their links, reports and compares. Their preview URLs stop working.
- Paid subscriptions of those workspaces are cancelled at the end of the current period.
- You leave every other team. Links, spaces and reports you created there move to that team's owner, and the team's activity log records that you deleted your account.
- You are signed out on every device, your API keys stop working, and a confirmation email is sent to your address.
