Plans, limits and billing

Updated October 2026

Every plan has unlimited preview links. You pay for the work around them: QA reports, visual compares, alerts, automation and team features. A plan belongs to a workspace, so a team shares one plan and one bill.

What each limit means

Links & previews

  • Link lifetime: How long a preview link lives. On the Free plan a link lasts 7 days from its last visit, up to 30 days after it was created (see How long Free links last). The number of preview links is unlimited on every plan.
  • Turn off the visitor notice: Paid plans can turn off, per link, the notice visitors see before a preview opens (see The visitor notice).
  • Rows per bulk import: Links you can create from one CSV file.

QA & compare

  • QA reports / month: Launch QA crawls started this month by the whole workspace.
  • Pages per QA report: How many pages one QA crawl visits at most.
  • Visual compares / month: Visual compare jobs started this month. Visual compare also unlocks Find differences here snapshots and client share links in live compare.
  • Pages per visual compare: Pages in one compare job; each page is captured on desktop and on mobile.
  • Live compare sessions / month: How often members can open live compare, the live site and the new server side by side. One session is one person on one link for 24 hours: reopening that link, renewing the session and moving between pages inside those 24 hours use nothing more. The Free plan includes 3 sessions a month; paid plans have no limit.
  • Branded QA reports: Your logo, colour and contacts on shared QA and launch readiness reports.
  • Launch readiness reports: One shareable page that tells your client whether it is safe to switch DNS.

Team & workspace

  • Seats: Members of the workspace, viewers and pending invitations included.
  • Comments & client approval: The comment and launch approval widget on previews.
  • Team policies: Workspace-wide link rules and Google-only sign-in.
  • IP allowlists: Only approved networks (IP ranges) can use the workspace, from the dashboard or with API keys.
  • Verified-domain auto-join: Colleagues on your verified company domain join automatically or ask to join.
  • Activity log retention: How long the team activity log is kept.

Notifications

  • DNS propagation alerts: Automatic DNS tracking with an alert when propagation is done. One-off checks work on every plan.
  • Notification channels: Team channels such as Slack, Telegram or webhooks. Personal emails are always included.
  • WhatsApp messages / month: Alerts, test messages and verification codes sent over WhatsApp.

Integrations & API

  • API access: API keys and the REST API.
  • API requests / minute per key: How many requests one API key can send to one endpoint per minute. DNS propagation checks stay at 10 a minute on every plan.
  • White-label: Coming soon. Custom domains without DNSPeek branding are not available yet; talk to sales if you need them.

Monthly usage

The Billing page shows this month’s QA reports and visual compares against your limits; the Visual compare page shows how many live compare sessions are left when your plan has a monthly number. Monthly quotas count per calendar month in UTC and reset on the 1st. A report or compare still counts after you delete it.

When the live compare sessions are used up, sessions opened in the last 24 hours keep working; a new one needs the next month or an upgrade.

The owner and admins are notified when a quota reaches 80 % (or has one left, for small quotas such as the 3 live compare sessions on Free) and when it is used up. When a quota is used up, new runs are refused until the next month or an upgrade.

Upgrade, change or cancel

Only the workspace owner can change the plan. Other members see who to ask.

You pay by card or with crypto; the options for your region are shown at checkout in your dashboard, and some regions also offer prepaid terms. Bank transfers are not accepted.

  • Upgrade: pick a plan on the Billing page and pay at checkout. The plan switches as soon as the payment provider confirms the payment, usually within seconds. If it takes longer, see Payment not confirmed yet.
  • Change plan, update the card or cancel: with card subscriptions through Stripe, Paddle or Lemon Squeezy, click Manage billing to open the provider's billing portal; it also lists the provider's invoices. WayForPay and crypto (Cryptomus) payments have no portal: cancel with Cancel at period end on the Billing page, and use the DNSPeek receipt as your payment document (see Receipts).
  • Payment failed: your plan stays while the payment is retried, and the owner and admins are told. If the subscription is cancelled in the end, the workspace moves to the Free plan.

Prepaid terms. Where they are offered, you can pay for 1, 3 or 12 months at once instead of a subscription. A prepaid term does not renew by itself: the owner and admins are reminded 7 days and 1 day before it ends, and paying for the next term early adds it to the end of the current one. When a term ends without a renewal, the plan stays for 3 more days, then the workspace moves to the Free plan.

Billing follows the workspace: after an ownership transfer the plan and subscription stay with it.

Payment history

The Payment history on the Billing page lists every payment and refund of the workspace, newest first: the date, what was bought (plan, monthly or yearly or the prepaid term, and the period it covers), the provider and card when known, the amount, the status and a link to the receipt. Use Show more for older payments, pick a year to see only that year, and Export CSV to download the list for your accountant (date, receipt number, description, period, amount, currency, status and provider; the file opens in Excel with the right characters).

Only the workspace owner and admins see the payment history. Other members see the plan, but not the payments.

StatusMeaning
PaidThe provider confirmed the payment. It has a receipt
PendingThe provider has not confirmed it yet; do not pay again
FailedNothing was charged, or the charge was declined
RefundedThe payment was refunded, in full or in part; the refund has its own row and receipt
UnderpaidA crypto invoice was paid short: top up the same invoice or contact support
Under reviewMoney arrived but needs a check by our team; we will get in touch if needed

Receipts

DNSPeek issues a payment receipt for every confirmed payment and every refund. It confirms what you paid and for which period. It is not a tax invoice, VAT invoice or certificate of services (act), and DNSPeek does not issue those documents. Receipt numbers look like DP-2026-000123: the year, then a number that counts up without gaps through that calendar year (UTC). A payment gets its number once, when it is first confirmed; a refund gets its own number and names the receipt of the payment it refunds.

Open a receipt from the Receipt link in the payment history or from the receipt email. The receipt page shows the seller, your billing details, what was bought and for which period, the amount, the provider and, when the provider has one, a link to the provider's invoice. Download PDF / Print opens your browser's print dialog: choose Save as PDF to keep a file. The page always prints on a white background, whatever theme you use.

The owner and admins get the receipt by email when a payment goes through, and an email when a refund is made. Each of them can turn these emails off under Settings → Notifications; the receipts stay on the Billing page either way.

Company billing details

To have your company's name and details printed on the receipts (for example, for your own records), the owner or an admin opens Need your company on the receipt? on the Billing page and fills in the company name, address, country, tax ID (for example a VAT number) and the email for billing. All fields are optional; without them the receipt shows the workspace name. New receipts show the details; past receipts keep the details they were issued with. Adding your company does not turn the receipt into a tax invoice.

These details are for DNSPeek payment receipts. When Paddle or Lemon Squeezy is the seller (see below), they issue the tax invoice from the details you enter in their checkout, so enter your company and VAT number there as well.

Who the seller is

Who sells you the plan depends on how you pay. The receipt and the receipt email always say which case applies.

You pay withSellerYour payment document
Paddle or Lemon SqueezyPaddle or Lemon Squeezy, as the Merchant of Record. They sell the subscription to you, charge any sales tax or VAT and appear on your card statementThe invoice or receipt from Paddle or Lemon Squeezy. The DNSPeek receipt is informational and links to it when available
Stripe, WayForPay or crypto (Cryptomus)DNSPeek: the business named in the seller block of the receiptThe DNSPeek payment receipt (not a tax invoice)

Getting the provider's invoice

  • Stripe: the receipt links the Stripe invoice when there is one; all invoices are also in Manage billing.
  • Paddle and Lemon Squeezy: they email their receipt or invoice after each payment; the DNSPeek receipt links it when the provider shares the link, and Manage billing opens their portal.
  • WayForPay and Cryptomus: there is no separate provider invoice for your records and no billing portal; the DNSPeek receipt is the document for the payment.

Payment not confirmed yet

After the checkout you come back to the Billing page, which says it is checking the payment and updates by itself. Most payments are confirmed within seconds; some providers and crypto networks take a few minutes.

If the provider still has not confirmed the payment after about 15 minutes, the page says the payment is still being processed (use Check again to look once more), and the owner and admins get a "Payment not confirmed yet" notification. Then:

  1. Do not pay again. The plan switches on by itself as soon as the provider confirms, and the receipt email follows.
  2. If the checkout failed or you closed it before paying, nothing was charged: start the checkout again.
  3. If money left your account and nothing changes within 24 hours, write to support with the payment reference from the provider's email (or the crypto invoice number). We match it and apply the payment.

What happens after a downgrade

Nothing is deleted. Features beyond the new plan pause until you upgrade again:

  • Members beyond the seat limit become read-only.
  • Only the oldest notification channels, up to the new limit, keep receiving events.
  • Team policies stay saved but are not enforced; branded reports show the standard look.
  • Activity older than the new retention period is removed.
  • Links keep their expiry: links without one stay without one. New links follow the Free lifetime.
  • The visitor notice comes back on every link of the workspace, including links where it was turned off.
  • Links with Include subdomains keep the setting, but their subdomain addresses (shop---<alias>) stop opening; the main preview address keeps working. They open again after you upgrade.

Custom and enterprise plans

Refunds

Yearly plans and prepaid terms get a full refund within 14 days of the payment. After that, we refund what you paid minus the months you have used at the plan's monthly price; a month counts as used as soon as it starts. For example, with $9 a month or $99 a year, asking on day 40 means 2 months used, so $99 − $18 = $81 comes back. Monthly plans stop renewing when cancelled, without partial refunds. Crypto payments are not refundable, and refunds go back only to the method you paid with. The full rules are in the Refund Policy.

Promo codes

A promo code gives a percentage off a paid plan. You get codes from our ads, newsletters, partners or the banner on our site.

Apply a code. On the Billing page, pick a plan and a billing period, open Have a promo code? and type the code; capital or small letters do not matter. The price updates straight away: the old price is crossed out, and you see the new price and how long the discount lasts, for example "−25 % for 3 months". Then pay as usual. Only the workspace owner can apply a code, because only the owner can pay.

Promo links. A link such as https://dnspeek.link/pricing?promo=SPRING25 remembers the code: choose a plan on the pricing page, and the code is already filled in at checkout.

How long the discount lasts. The checkout says which payments are discounted:

  • Once: the first payment only; renewals are at the normal price.
  • For a number of months: every renewal in that period. On a yearly plan this usually means the first year only.
  • For as long as you stay subscribed: every renewal until you cancel.
  • Prepaid terms (1, 3 or 12 months): the term you buy with the code. Paying for the next term is at the normal price unless you have a new code.

100 % codes. If a code covers the full price, there is nothing to pay and no redirect to a payment page: the plan switches on immediately for the period the code gives. You still get a receipt for 0. When that period ends, the plan stays only if you choose to pay for it.

Where you see the discount. The payment history shows the code and the discount next to the payment, the receipt has a separate discount line, and the current plan block on the Billing page shows the code and the date the discount ends. Paying with Paddle or Lemon Squeezy, you also see the discount on their checkout and invoice.

Rules.

  • One code per payment. Codes cannot be combined with each other.
  • A code can be limited to certain plans, billing periods, new customers or a number of uses, and it works only until its end date. If a code cannot be used, the checkout tells you and you can pay without it.
  • Some codes cannot be used with a particular payment method, usually because the discounted amount is below that method's minimum. Choose another method.
  • A code cannot be added after you have paid.
  • After the end date, a code no longer works for new payments, but a discount you already have keeps running for its full length.
  • If a payment made with a code is refunded, the refund is based on what you actually paid.
